Fraser Gassman

Fraser joins Gassman Development Perspectives with a Bachelor of Urban and Environmental planning from Griffith University and four years of planning experience within State and Local government. To date, his primary experience has been with the State Assessment and Referral Agency at the Department of State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning, working within Brisbane, Gold Coast, Logan, Sunshine Coast and Redlands areas. This role provided a detailed understanding of State referral assessment requirements, and included review and assessment of new local planning schemes and major amendments to planning instruments.

Fraser was also part of the Major Developments team at Logan City Council. While in this position, he undertook assessment of major residential, industrial, commercial and mixed  use development within greenfield and infill areas. This experience included managing development applications from conceptual prelodgement meetings through to Council approval and delegations. During his time at Council, Fraser worked with a broad range of Council’s internal teams, including flooding, environment, engineering and parks and developed essential skills and understanding in each of these areas and how they impact upon land uses and development approvals.

During his career, Fraser has built up a wide range of contacts within the industry and aims to further his knowledge from a private planning perspective. His experience to date provides a breadth of knowledge across State and Local planning assessment requirements, coupled with a keen desire to deliver the best outcome possible, he can help you realise your development projects full potential.
