Gassman Development Perspectives acted as town planner and landscape architect in the redevelopment of property containing a detached dwelling into a four storey apartment building.
The apartment building, located on the canals in Runaway Bay with exceptional views to South Stradbroke Island, contains a contemporary and high quality architectural design and landscaping treatment that will contribute to improving the streetscape and design standard of the immediate locality.
Detailed issues that were resolved as part of the development application included securing a building height for the apartment that exceeded Gold Coast City Council’s standard building height limit. This involved detailed ongoing discussions with Council’s town planning officers and architects, working efficiently and effectively with the developer’s project architects to ensure excellent built form outcomes, and a high quality landscape design to support the increased building height.
